Designed by award winning Christchurch architects RM Design, this state of the art “local pub” services the suburbs of Rototuna, Chartwell and Queenwood. At a massive 800 square metres, the Pigeon features designated bar, restaurant and function areas as well as a number of well appointed outside areas and balconies with great views of the surrounding area. The bar has a quality wine list and fifteen tap beers including Heineken, Monteith’s and five genuine craft options. The dinner menu has been designed by one of the Waikato’s most awarded chef’s Andrew Clarke and represents the best of New Zealand contemporary dining. There are also a range of delicious bar snacks like burgers, pizzas and the signature Pigeon chicken wings as well as plenty of kids options. The lunch menu has a lighter café style with a number of brunch items and cabinet options too. The Wayward pigeon is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.
