Headed up by Alex Payne, The Tudor Pass at Great Fosters is an intimate and sophisticated restaurant open Wednesday to Saturday for lunch & dinner. Great Fosters is delighted to confirm that the Tudor Room will be reopening as The Tudor Pass on October 1st 2022, under new Executive Chef Alex Payne. Alex joins Great Fosters from The Thames Table at Crockers, where he was the Head Chef. Alex was born in Egham and spent his childhood only a mile from Great Fosters so it’s wonderful to welcome him back to the area in which he grew up. The Tudor Pass is an intimate, gastronomic restaurant with only seven tables and will be open Wednesday - Saturday for both lunch & dinner from October 1st. The reimagining of an icon, The Tudor Pass is a new chapter in the storied history of this special restaurant, named so to celebrate the unique interactive service style diners can expect – without the noise of an open kitchen. Completely refurbished recently, The Tudor Pass is both elegant & intimate, with linen textured wall coverings, sumptuous velvet seating with patterns inspired by nature, and a grand tapestry and huge stone fireplace offering focal points. This unique dining room, contrasting Tudor heritage with contemporary furnishings, is the perfect restaurant for a celebratory occasion or a gastronomic treat.
