The last train may have puffed past The Railway Inn way back in 1964, but the pub is still going as strong as ever, with three generations and more than 50 years of family experience behind it. Owner Sue Perkins began her journey with The Railway Inn in 1999, when she bought the then-derelict pub. Over the past 27 years, Sue and her daughters have lovingly transformed it into the warm and welcoming country pub it is today. Family, good food and a friendly atmosphere are at the heart of everything we do. Our home-cooked menu includes firm favourites such as our famous steak pie, traditional haddock and chips, alongside a variety of vegetarian options. Wherever possible, we use quality, locally sourced ingredients and every dish is prepared with care. The Railway Inn is also the perfect place for special occasions. From birthday celebrations and family gatherings to wedding receptions and private functions, our function space can cater for a wide range of events. As well as being known for our home-cooked food, we also have three lovely en-suite bedrooms, offering comfortable accommodation with beautiful views across the East Yorkshire countryside. GROUP BOOKINGS For bookings of 10 guests or more, we kindly ask for a £5 deposit per person to secure your table. Your deposit will be deducted from your final bill on the day. We also ask parties of 10 or more to provide a food pre-order at least 3 days before your booking. This helps our kitchen and front-of-house team make sure everything runs smoothly for your group.
