The Phoenix Inn is an old coaching inn, with lots of nooks and crannies, low ceilings, and uneven floors. This is part of the charm of this 17th century listed building. <br/>Andrew and Sisi Ryder opened this charming restaurant in 2009, and in the last 7 years with the aid of Adrian Culver, head chef, and the whole team have elevated it to one of the best eateries in Hampshire.<br/>The style of food satisfies every mood and pocket, from a fresh sandwich, or ham, egg and chips to oysters, lobster, and Chateaubriand.<br/>Provenance and seasonality are the key elements in formulating the menu, which changes daily. The comprehensive wine list features organic and bio-dynamic, and sulphite free wines, and again is seasonally adjusted. The real ales are Cask Marque accredited and there is a good range of draught lagers, bottled beers, and spirits.<br/>The large peaceful garden is excellent for sunny summer afternoons and the roaring fire in the winter makes The Phoenix a cosy, warm, homely place.
