The Dropping Well Bar & Restaurant is a landmark pub located in the suburb of Milltown in South Dublin, just down the road from The Nine Arches with panoramic views of the Dodder River.  A fine traditional bar which has been extensively renovated over the years to provide our patrons with a superior atmosphere and exceptional facilities.  We have two well-appointed private function rooms catering for all of our customers function requirements.  The Well is an easily accessible business as the Milltown Luas Station is very close by and we have a large customer car park.  Our Management and Staff work as a close-knit team to ensure that patrons of The Dropping Well have the best possible experience during their time with us.  <br/>Being the main local pub in the Milltown area we have a loyal local customer base, however we continually strive to provide the very best service to these valued customers, listening to what they want and doing our best to achieve that.  We feel that the reputation of The Dropping Well under the banner of the Charlie Chawke name shines from our very core here.<br/>Our menus are continually being updated to provide a superior seasonal dining experience for all tastes and dietary requirements, and we also have a large and varied wine list and rare liquor stock.<br/>Our head chef Udo Wittmann joined us in October 2017, and he has invested great care and dedication to enrich our food offerings and menus.  We have invested in a 'Josper' oven to achieve a delicious chargrill taste to our meat and fish dishes.  Udo has also compounded our ordering to achieve a list of suppliers that is as local as possible, always supporting Irish suppliers and producers wherever possible.<br/>The Dropping Well is a classic building, established in 1847 and we have kept the authentic feel of the premises while providing comfort and atmosphere within our fantastic conservatory restaurant with beautiful views of the Dodder, and within our traditional bar and lounge areas.
