Dating back to the mid 17th century and probably much earlier this beautiful riverside inn has been welcoming and refreshing locals and passers-by for centuries. Our aim has been to preserve all its charm, nod nostalgically to the past and remember that proper pubs are always about people and atmosphere while gentling evolving into what a 21st-century country pub should offer in terms of food, drink and service, as well as facilities.<br/><br/>Having a warren of larger and smaller rooms means there is space for all walks of life and a variety of predilections from the dedicated drinkers and diners to walkers, bikers, anglers, shooters, canoeists and of course man’s best friend doggies….of the well-behaved variety, please. We also have a small private dining room that seats about 14 people comfortably that can also be used for meetings and even watching the odd game of rugby or other sports if the timings fit<br/><br/>We hope you’ll come and see us and have a good time.
