The Anchor Inn is a beautiful vintage coaching inn licensed in 1699 and purchased by Robinsons brewery in 1964. Nestled on the outskirts of the picturesque Peak District village of Tideswell the inn has recently been sympathetically refurbished in a traditional style brimming with countryside charm. It boasts exposed timber beams, oak panelling and roaring log fires creating a homely ambience and a warm welcome. The rustic bar is amply stocked offering 4 Robinsons real ales and 4 draught beers including Birra Moretti and Veltins pilsner plus a fine range of wines and spirits. Our menu is seasonal English homemade food, locally sourced and prepared onsite each day with a range of daily changing special dishes available. We also have a kids menu and a dedicated vegetarian/vegan menu with many gluten free options. We have a private function room available to hire for large groups and special occasions. The Anchor Inn is dog friendly and ideally located for exploring not only Tideswell but surrounding Peak District villages and attractions including the Chatsworth Estate, Blue John Caverns, Mam Tor and the Monsal Trail.
