Curated by Executive Chef Trent Whelan, the menu focuses on Tasmania’s seasonal delicacies sourced from regional growers, cooked with rustic Italian technique. Think house-baked focaccia and homemade pasta bursting with wild, local flavours. Warm, welcoming and refreshingly down to earth, Tesoro is open for all day dining. The open plan grill and pizza oven lets guests take part in the energy and excitement of the kitchen while the dining room offers relaxed Mediterranean-inspired vibes. Bold wall murals and rich textures of terrazzo and bronze contrast with vibrant turquoise and sapphire blue. Start your day with gusto… and a little bit of indulgence. Signature breakfast dishes with clever Tasmanian touches include a decadent Lobster Benedict on locally baked Black Bread and the Tesoro breakfast pizza - fresh from the oven. Once the sun sets, Tesoro’s decadent array of Tasmanian meats - including dry aged Cape Grim beef - take centre stage, complemented by longline-caught local, sustainable seafood. The pasta and pizza dough are handmade daily and the meats are dry aged on-site for 50 days before being char-grilled to ensure the meat is tender and cooked to perfection. The beverage list is a dazzling list of Tasmania’s stand-out spirits, beers and wines alongside an inspired list of imported Italian varietals. Groups are well catered for with fun share plates, antipasti and feasting boards that highlight the region’s Marion Bay char-grilled chicken and North West Tasmanian veal… just to name a few. Dessert connoisseurs will adore the house-made tiramisu – a true crowd pleaser - but the irresistible bomboloni with chocolate and vanilla custard are so good you might want to start with dessert.
