Nestled on the edge of the Isle of Purbeck, we overlook stunning Brownsea Island, the waters of Poole Harbour and Sandbanks. Our a la carte menu is packed with fresh, wood-fired local seafood and produce from the surrounding areas. We are very proud to source all our fish, meat and other produce from local growers, fisherman and farmers. This means that our menu can change twice daily depending on the fresh catch available each day and the seasonality of the produce we are using. We can be very busy, particularly during the peak season, so please call and book to avoid disappointment, also thanks to the inclement weather on this side of the Dorset coast, it is better to ring and make sure we are open. We allocate tables based on how far a customer has booked in advance, however all of our tables do have sea views. If you are hankering for a snack or a freshly brewed cup of coffee before a beach walk instead, we have garden seating (also with water views) and a bistro area where a light bite can be enjoyed - please note we do not take bookings for the bistro. Well behaved dogs on leads and children are more than welcome in the restaurant and bistro. Please note between the 15th of May and the 1st of October we will not be taking bookings over 8. We sadly aren't blessed with a car park but there is a National Trust car park about 50 meters opposite, but please do note this gets very full at peak times and parking can be extremely difficult around the general area. Please note that the National Trust carpark currently closes at 1630. Alternative parking is available on either side of the road on the Studland side of the toll booths. The chain ferry queue can get very busy and provide delay at peak times, if you do get delayed for any reason, please do give us a call as we will only hold tables for 15 minutes otherwise.
