Located at 159 Ingram Street in Glasgow city centre, Malocchio launched in late August 2025 in the former Mediterraneo space. It is the debut concept personally created by Romano Perella, renowned for his previous Amore ventures <br/>The name “Malocchio” draws from Southern Italian superstition meaning the “evil eye,” with its emblem—the horn-shaped amulet Il Corno—symbolizing protection and positivity. Perella designed the restaurant as a sanctuary to escape daily pressures, providing a relaxing environment where only good energy prevails. The interior is a full transformation—unrecognisable from the old Mediterraneo—and styled to blend tradition with modern design for a warm, social dining space .<br/>At Malocchio, freshness and tradition are at the heart of the menu. Everything from pasta to sauces is made in-house daily with premium ingredients, whether locally sourced or imported from Italy. The serving format embraces a sharing style, with dishes sized for around three courses per person that sit between starter and main—perfect for communal taste-and-go dining. Offerings include artisan-style pasta, rustic sauces, seasonal meats and seafood, and a thoughtfully reimagined pizza rooted in heritage but presented anew
