Our beautiful bar & restaurant is housed within Carlisle’s historic old Post Office building. Sympathetically restored with many original features giving wonderful character and atmosphere.                       The Penny Blue building contains the famous stained glass window from the old Lonsdale cinema which has been restored and can be seen in our more private area.         <br/>Penny Blue will be serving a modern tapas & grill menu from our open kitchen, using local ingredients where possible and 100% Cumbrian beef. We cater for gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options.
