The best girls night out spots in London
Whether you and your friends are a gaggle of gastronomy geeks or your crew is all about the cocktails, London has a venue to suit every kind of girl gang. Here are five nights that you (hopefully!) won’t forget in a hurry…
If you grew up watching The Craft and Hocus Pocus together, or you just like to get a little bit witchy, then these enchanting venues will indulge all of your spooky whims. In either hip Dalston or a pastel pink Greek Street townhouse, you can take part in ‘Potion Making’ classes, during which you concoct your own dazzling molecular cocktails that smoke, bubble and sparkle. There’s an afternoon tea package available too, which includes sweet treats, scones, ‘sand-witches’ and the chance to brew your own tea.
If you’re looking for a proper party, legendary East London venue Dalston Superstore ticks all the boxes. The self-proclaimed ‘queer pleasure palace’ hosts late-night dance parties as well as drag brunches every weekend. You could also head a few doors down and have a singalong at The Karaoke Hole cocktail bar. For a good night out, think Dalston Superstore!
Unwined opened their first cosy but cool wine bar in Tooting Market, which proved so popular that they now have another site in Waterloo. The staff are super knowledgeable but without pretense, so you can feel comfortable asking any questions or letting them choose a tipple to suit your palate. They also host wine tastings and offer indulgent cheese boards to accompany your chosen vintage. Make sure you follow their socials so you can be the first to know about any special foodie pop ups too!
Part of the popular Aussie brunch chain Daisy Green, Paradise Green is a sprawling but sleek restaurant in The City. While it’s open for brunch, lunch and dinner, you can actually still go bottomless in the evening… The night starts with two cocktails each, before the prosecco flows for 90 minutes. Sharing boards are shared between two and — depending on whether you’re a carnivore or not — are piled with tender lamb tomahawk, onglet steak and smokey bbq ribs, or tofu steak, fire roasted aubergines, risotto and corn ribs.
There are plenty of photo opportunities to take up during a night out at Rock and Rose. The two venues in Chiswick and Richmond are a maximalist’s dream, featuring colour, patterns and greenery galore! The food and drink is pretty extra too… from tiki cups and cocktails that come served in their own little chairs (yes, you read that right!), to 80s-esque prawn cocktails and dreamy desserts.
A super fun night out where you can boogie and get groovy at this 80s venue! Found in a basement in Chelsea, this tiny, intimate venue is super fun and super popular! With a cracking team, simple drinks and great tunes, we really recommend this venue if you don’t mind standing and dancing the night away with the gals! It gets pretty packed out so good luck with getting in past midnight!
A super quirky, colourful venue, perfect to capture that all important Instagram content! With happy hours and student offers, there really is something for everyone of all budgets. A fab venue to get dressed up, enjoy some super fun cocktails and dance. Or perhaps head over earlier in the evening and enjoy some drinks in one of their booth areas, perfect for catching up before the party vibes get too much to resist!
Another venue found in Soho for those that love to dance. Ideal for parties and Hen parties, with tropical cocktails, happy hour and an extensive menu that features tapas dishes and sharing planks this is a brilliant party venue. As well as offering salsa classes ahead of the night commencing, you can also find Buff Bingo Bottomless Drag Brunch on weekends at Bar Salsa. We must forewarn you that it gets pretty hot and busy in here, so if it’s winter outside, definitely wear layers!
A brilliant venue where you can find banging flavour combos of incredible sushi, live DJs, stunning views over London and the perfect opportunities to capture content! This Japanese and Latin American fusion restaurant is located on the 38th and 39th floor of Heron Tower, which is perfect for special occasions and taking in the incredible London view all whilst dining and dancing way up high.
A groovy Shoreditch live music venue. Super relaxed vibes, chilled out people and great Caribbean food, this is the place for artistic, music lovers. Pay entry on the door and enjoy an array of music events from jam sessions to Blues nights. Troy Bar really is a fantastic cosy relaxed night and simply a brilliant secret discovery in London.
