Sign of the Angel is a 2 AA Rosette-awarded 15th century coaching inn that encompasses the key elements of a traditional inn, providing great tasting food and drink. The inn is located in the National Trust village of Lacock, on the edge of the Cotswolds, and only a short distance from Bath. The restaurant operates on an ethos of using the best local, seasonal produce and encourages a relaxed, easy going atmosphere in the dining rooms. The ‘Little Angels’ menu offers courses from £8, ranging from tomato and basil pasta to sausage, mash and peas, and more!
The Old House Pub is a charming establishment nestled in the heart of Dorking’s historic streets. Steeped in character and brimming with warmth, the pub offers a quintessentially British experience that’s both inviting and memorable. The carefully curated menu showcases the best of British pub fare, with dishes crafted from locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. From hearty classics like fish and chips and steak and ale pie, to lighter options such as salads and sandwiches, there’s something to satisfy every appetite. And of course, no visit to the Old House Pub would be complete without sampling a selection from the well-stocked bar, boasting a variety of real ales, fine wines and spirits. This is child-friendly pub as well, meaning you can book in for the whole family.

With panoramic south westerly sea views across its links course, the child-friendly Restaurant 18 offers a relaxed and informal dining experience with delicious Scottish produce on its menus. Start with a drink by roaring log fires or on the outdoor terrace overlooking the 18th green if the weather’s warm, which makes the perfect spot to watch endless sunsets and gaze out to sea. The passionate chefs here have created menus that are locally sourced, where possible, and celebrate the very best Scotland has to offer. Across land, sea and air, Islay is brimming with local ingredients, ranging from seafood and game to freshly grown vegetables and herbs. So much of the produce sourced is free-range and from small-scale farmers and suppliers on Islay in a bid to reduce food air miles, whilst supporting artisan businesses that ecologically manage the land.

Milton on the Corner is situated in Aberdeen’s West End and is part of ‘The Milton Collective’ Restaurant Group, incorporating venues in Dyce & Crathes, near Banchory. These guys offer all day seasonal a la carte menus, alongside super kids’ menus, as well as gluten-free and plant-based options, too. The children’s menu, which can be coloured in and has a word search, offers favourites such as cheeseburger and chips, and the popular Milton mac and chips.

The Prince of Wales sits on the edge of the beautiful Chatsworth Estate in the pretty village of Baslow. This 1 Rosette drinking and dining pub has a passion for fresh, seasonal food using local ingredients in an informal and relaxed atmosphere. The aptly named Classroom is a unique modern European restaurant with panoramic views across the capital city. This is a place that’s passionate about quality food and excellent customer service – ensuring your visit is one you want to repeat. The menus (kids included) change with the season – always featuring high quality ingredients with a focus on regional Welsh produce where possible. All dishes are prepared from scratch – including the freshly baked bread each day in the in-house bakery.
