Lobster and Chablis? Perhaps jazz and a six-course degustation is more your speed? Or how about the seductive sounds of Prince with a sublime cocktail or two?
Whatever you’re into, there’s something for every kind of romantic at Shell House’s suite of venues this February 14.
At the Dining Room & Terrace, recently awarded two hats in the Good Food Guide’s 2023 edition, you can book one of two tasting menus, devised by Culinary Director Joel Bickford and Head Chef Aaron Ward. On both menus, a lobster course paired with a glass of delicious Chablis is the hero, but there are also courses including coral trout, rib eye, ravioli and a chocolate, coconut and plum bombe. The Valentine’s Day menu is $195 per person while the Premium Valentine’s Day menu, which includes coal roasted Southern Rock lobster, is $295 per person.
Level up by adding a dozen Sydney rock oysters or Oscietra caviar if you’re keen to really impress.
Meanwhile in the grand hotel style space that is the Menzies Bar, start things off with a spritz and accompany a six-course degustation menu with the soothing sounds of jazz from the Menzies Jazz Trio. The menu features scallop crudo, Moreton Bay bug ravioli, John Dory, a taleggio and potato tart, and more. The dinner’s set price is $165 per person and includes a cocktail and live jazz.
If degustations aren’t your thing, book the Valentine’s Edition of Classic Contemporary at the Sky Bar where you can listen to the Shell House Band play the seriously sexy music of none other than Prince. An arrival drink and snacks are included in the $75 per person price, and there will be a specially curated cocktail list and lots of musical guests.
