With its central location in the heart of Mayfair, it’s no wonder why Claridge’s has hosted a few celebs and famous parties in its time! A favourite of the royals, Claridge’s Bar has been the venue for several royal parties, as well as serving celebrities such as Audrey Hepburn and Gwyneth Paltrow. Best of all though is the Terrace at Claridge’s Bar – a beautifully secluded spot serving fresh flavours and seasonal cocktails that’s perfect for the summer months.
Celebrity sightings might be few and far between here, but when you do see a familiar face, it’ll be a pretty big deal. Claridge’s Bar is all about champagnes and cocktails, served in style.
To complement David Collins’s Art Deco-influenced interior, the team here has sourced an extensive collection of drinks – from rare champagnes to sought-after spirits. You can enjoy them as they are, or ask your bartender to mix up a cocktail of your choice.
The Terrace at Claridge’s Bar is a Central London hidden gem, offering up a dash of the Mediterranean right in the heart of Mayfair.
The menu – in a word – is exquisite. From seafood delicacies to pizzas, pastas and much more, the flavours are inspiring, evoking memories of long summer days in the Mediterranean sunshine.
Some of the seafood highlights include the Tuna Tartare with pickled pineapple, coriander, ginger and ponzu, as well as the Carlingford Rock oysters served with three mignonettes:
classic, cucumber and dill, and rhubarb.
Take your pick from a fine first course selection that boasts an impressive Charcuterie selection as well as a must-try Burrata di Puglia salad.
Among the mains you’ll find delightful dishes ranging from Oyster Mushroom Skewers to Moules Mariniere, Lobster Thermidor and more.
It’s the pizza, pasta and risotto range that’s the star of the menu here though, in particular the Black Truffle Pizza and the Lobster Rigatoni with tomato, basil and lobster bisque.
When it comes to cocktails to complement your meal, The Terrace at Claridge’s Bar has a superb selection.
The Flapper is perfectly suited for the summer months, consisting of strawberries, Crème de Cassis and Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée, while New Day offers more tropical flavours with its mix of Lakes Gin, Campari, Cocchi Rosa, Coconut, Pineapple and Lemon.
For a sundowner there’s nothing more perfect than the Lakeland Sunset, a delicious mix of Lakes The One Whisky, Grapefruit, Passion fruit and Pale Ale.
If cocktails aren’t your thing then there’s some of the finest champagnes around also available, as well as a range of fine wines.
