Say hello to Polson's Café Bar

Glasgow’s vibrant West End meets Paisley in the newly refurbished Polson’s Café Bar at Mill & Brae. From pastries to fry up’s and fresh local produce, Polson’s has it all making this your new go-to brunch spot.

Polson Café Bar provides a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, accompanied by delicious and affordable food and drink. Whether it’s breakfast, brunch and lunch, or early evening dinner – this place has got you covered. Sit under the cherry blossom or against the living wall, picture perfect from every angle.

As exciting as the entire menu is here, we can’t get over the brunch.

First, the classic fry up. Choose the M&B Wee Brekkie or the Big Brekkie if you’re really hungry and want double of everything. With the latter you’ll get two homemade potato scones, with hash brown, two rashers of bacon, Lorne and link sausage, haggis, black pudding, mushroom, vine tomato, beans and two eggs.

There’s also a Breakfast Sharer, which is ideal for groups of 4-6 people sharing. You’ll get a mountainous stack of everything on the Big Brekkie, served straight to your table to share.

Veggie, vegan and gluten free fry ups are also available, as well as breakfast rolls.

If you like your brunch plain and simple, then check out the smashed avocado, scrambled eggs or poached eggs on toast. Or for those of you with a sweet tooth, you’ll delight in the French toast or pancake stacks; the latter lets you choose from bacon and maple syrup, banana and Nutella, strawberries and whipped cream, and Lotus Biscoff.

We need to talk about the eggs for a minute though, because there are some really enticing options. From classics such as Eggs Benedict and Eggs Florentine, proper Scottish choices like Stornoway Eggs (with black pudding) and Kilted Eggs, which come poached with bacon, haggis and peppercorn sauce.

There’s also a Chorizo Benedict if you’re feeling spicy, as well as Salt & Chilli Scrambled which really brings the fire thanks to its fresh chillies, spicy salsa, and chilli and cheese infused Hollandaise sauce.

The Mill & Brae Eggs are for the hungry carnivores among you as fried eggs come served with 4oz carved tender flat iron steak, vine tomatoes, mushrooms and a rich Hollandaise sauce.

Littles ones are always welcome and they can choose from their own kids menu. Choices include a Kids Mini Breakfast, a Wee Pancake Stack, Grilled Cheese and the popular Beans on Toast.

Don’t forget about the drinks to go with your delicious food! From coffee and tea to hot chocolate and fruit juice, you can also order a breakfast smoothie if you need a health kick or something stronger if you’re in need of that; the Bloody Mary is a real winner.

Polson’s is child and dog-friendly, and provides a warm welcome and a snug and comfortable space for the whole family to enjoy. What are you waiting for? That brunch isn’t going to eat itself!
