A spotlight on London's Pasero
Found yourself around North London without Pasero on your list? You’re seriously missing out. Residing in South Tottenham, Pasero is one of those spots that just feels like home the moment you walk in. It’s a café, a restaurant, a wine bar, and just an all-around great place to hang out – no matter what time of day it is. Whether you’re looking for a cosy spot to grab brunch with friends, a low-key coffee break, or a spot for a date night, Pasero’s got you covered.
We love Pasero’s bright, airy space, with wooden tables, exposed brick walls, and soft lighting that makes everything feel warm and inviting, accentuating the relaxing vibe. Their trendy minimalist décor alongside pops of colour here and there create flawless design harmony. Most importantly, you’ll always feel at home at Pasero – you could just as easily pop in for a casual coffee in your sweats as you could for a dressed-up dinner, and you’d fit in perfectly either way.
The place has a neighborhood feel, but with a touch of sophistication. During the day, it’s soaked with sunshine (or equally hygge on a winter’s day) – ideal for catching up with a friend or getting some work done with a great cup of coffee. By the evening, it turns into this cosy, candle-lit spot that feels just right for a relaxed dinner or a couple of cocktails. You can tell the folks behind Pasero really thought about making the space work for different moods and occasions, and it’s paid off.
Speaking of coffee, Pasero takes it seriously. Their Allpress coffee is top-notch, and if you’re a fan of a good flat white or a strong espresso, you’ll be in heaven. But Pasero isn’t just about caffeine. Their drink menu has something for everyone.
If you’re there later in the day, don’t miss their cocktail list – it’s simple but creative, with a few seasonal surprises thrown in. Their Pasero Negroni is a standout, and if you’re in the mood for something light and refreshing, you can’t go wrong with their Ultimate Margarita. Their signature, however, is the L’Oignon – gin, Suze & Lillet Blanc, garnished with an onion, the perfect aperitif before dinner. They’ve also got a small but well-curated wine list, focusing mostly on European bottles (think Italian reds and French whites), and a few solid craft beers if that’s more your style.
Now, let’s talk food – because Pasero really shines here. Their menu is all about fresh, seasonal ingredients, and while it’s not extensive, it’s packed with European dishes that hit the spot – and some of the best menus are short and sweet. The focus is on simple, comforting food done well.
The menu does change weekly, meaning you get to try something new every time. For lunch, past popular dishes have included their house salt beef rueben sandwich, salmon, cream cheese, & pickled cucumber bagel, ham, mushroom, & spinach mascarpone toastie, smoked salmon & dill quiche, and their house caesar salad – all bursting with fresh, seasonal flavours.
In the evening, Pasero’s menu steps it up a notch with small plates perfect for sharing and some hearty mains. Expect the likes of cavatelli with pumpkin, girolles, & sage, brown crab rarebit, pork belly with lentils, chicory, & burnt apple, gnocchi with Jerusalem artichoke, pear, & almond, beetroot with whipped feta, a sour cherry molasses & pistachio dukkah, steak tartare with a confit egg yolk & toasted brioche, and their epic Black Angus steak drowned in peppercorn sauce with shoestring potatoes.
They’ll also occasionally have pop-up weeks, where you can expect familiar faces such as Saucy Bast*rd smash burgers and Grillbird Japanese fusion taking over Pasero’s kitchen.
Simply put, Pasero just gets it right. It’s relaxed but refined, cosy but cool, and most importantly, the food and drinks are always on point. Whether you’re popping in for a quick coffee, meeting friends for brunch, or settling in for a long, relaxed dinner, Pasero makes it all feel effortlessly easy and indulgent.
