Jervois Steak House is one of New Zealand’s top spots for meat-lovers – and this summer brings some exciting new additions to the Auckland menu.
When a juicy, hearty steak dinner comes to mind, Jervois Steak House is the first establishment to pop up, and for good reason. Sourcing only the most premium cuts both locally and globally, JSH is fully dedicated to serving the meatiest experience to each and every guest.
Diners can expect to taste the finest of what Aotearoa agriculture has to offer, with the majority of the menu featuring prime New Zealand beef. Not only that, but the JHS team has established strong connections to farmers all over the world so you can expect to see some cuts from countries like Australia, Japan, and the United States.
Fear not, because fan favourites like the beef tartare and Wakanui scotch fillet will be here to stay. Jervois has instead decided to broaden their horizons to encompass some succulent kaimoana (a kiwi summer staple!) and more vegetarian options.
Among some of the new seafood dishes you will expect to make an appearance are the yellowfin tuna with heirloom tomatoes and chipotle oil, salt and pepper calamari with smoked taramasalata, and skull island prawns served with nduja butter and house-made bread.
Their fried potato gnocchi with pecorino is another irresistable addition, appealing to vegetarian and non-vegetarian diners alike. These dishes have simple roots, but the kitchen has added a modern twist to bring it on par with the rest of their menu.
If you haven’t had the pleasure of visiting the steak joint, this new menu drop is the perfect excuse. Bringing only the best of the best dishes, Jervois Steak House has something for everyone.
You can find them at 70 Jervois Road, Ponsonby. Opening hours are from Monday-Sunday from 5.30pm until late, and on Fridays from noon. Book your table to try the delectable summer dishes here!
