Inca is a splash of colour amidst Auckland restaurants, and their summer lunch menu is the cherry on top for a perfect summer.
You definitely don’t want to miss out on this incredible steal, with $10 frozen margaritas and Sol lager (a staple summer beverage) by the bucket – icy cold, of course!
Inca has two lush locations: Westfield Newmarket’s luxurious rooftop dining section, and amidst the bustling streets of Ponsonby. Foodies and city natives will know that both areas are famous in Auckland for their ability to serve up a good plate every time. Luckily it won’t matter which location you dine at because both restaurants will have the full selection of food and drink for this deal, giving customers full bang for their buck.
Inca is pioneered by critically acclaimed chef Nic Watt, the brains (or rather, the palate) behind world class restaurants such as MASU, Shoku, and Akarana Eatery. Inca is a fusion of Watt’s expertise in East Asian cuisine and the flavours of South America – implanting all the things he has learnt from his time in Peru into a vibrant tasteful menu.
The interior of both the Newmarket and Ponsonby locations definitely give us intense summer vibes, with woven chairs, a bar that leads to an open kitchen, and a fully heated roof terrace create a fiery atmosphere on Westfield’s rooftop – where guests are able to look outward to a beautiful sunset skyline in the evening.
The Ponsonby establishment offers something a little different, playing up oriental elements with colourful lanterns, while keeping South American motifs such as the woven-back chairs, small windows sprinkled throughout the interior, and a hearty fire in the centre of the open kitchen.
The details of Inca’s summer deal are pretty simple. The lunch menu is only $45, and guests will get to purchase a bucket of Sol for a mere $30, or if you’re feeling playful, a $10 frozen margarita is always a viable option.
On the summer menu you’ll find dishes such as Inca’s famous guacamole, chicken karaage and Szechuan caramel, a selection of ceviche, BBQ oyster mushroom tacos, and pork cheek tacos.
