New seasonal menu from Bastible

Bastible – the Michelin starred, contemporary neighbourhood bistro, stationed on Leonard’s Corner in the heart of Dublin 8 – has announced its new spring set menu, and it looks like stunning. Expect seasonal ingredients like rhubarb and radish. Want a further peek at the new menu? Then follow us as we explore the menu in depth.

Bastible’s food is based on the seasons around us, sourcing ingredients from dedicated artisan producers and inspired by the creativity of the small team. From Wednesday to Saturday these guys offer a set menu which changes regularly.

On Sundays they select larger joints of meat or fish for a family-style lunch. The wine list has some left field varieties alongside plenty of more familiar choices, with a range of options to enjoy by the glass.

So what can expect from the new spring sample set menu? Here’s what you can enjoy this spring from each course:

  • Bastible sourdough, cultured butter

  • Beetroot tart, Boyne Valley Bán, smoked eel

  • Cured scallop, sorrel, bergamot, chilli

  • Kelp custard, potato, Oscietra caviar

  • Squid, tentacle XO, pickled radish

  • Cod, cockles, Mark’s mushrooms, cep sauce

  • Roast squab, parsley, spring vegetables

  • Rhubarb, rose, roasted vanilla, fromage blanc

  • Petit fours

This amazing new set menu costs €105 per person. A wine pairing is €65 and for a wine pairing with Champagne it’s €85. Pescatarian and vegetarian menus are available upon request, you just need to let the team know in advance.
