A spotlight on Manchester's Cibus

Tucked away in the lively streets of Manchester, Cibus has become the perfect hangout for anyone craving a taste of real Italian food. With its welcoming vibe, mouth-watering pizzas, and fun, interactive experiences, this spot offers more than just a meal – it’s all about enjoying good food in great company.

Walking into Cibus feels like stepping into a modern Italian trattoria with a relaxed twist. The mix of exposed brick walls, wooden tables, and warm mood lighting makes the place feel homey yet stylish. Whether you’re coming in for a casual dinner or a special occasion, the space feels just right – not too fancy, but still a step up from your average pizza joint.

The buzz inside Cibus is infectious. You’ll often find the tables packed with groups of friends laughing, families catching up, or couples enjoying a cosy date night. Despite its lively atmosphere, the space still feels intimate enough for a quiet conversation over wine. And speaking of the staff – they’re friendly, easy-going, and always ready with a great recommendation, making sure you feel like part of the family from the moment you arrive.

The menu at Cibus is simple but full of flavour, showcasing Italian classics with a modern touch. It’s all about quality over quantity here, with dishes that make the most of fresh, high-quality ingredients. Their pizzas are the stars of the show, featuring a sourdough base that’s crisp on the outside and deliciously chewy on the inside.

One of our favourite pizzas is the 4 Stagioni, topped with tomato, mozzarella, ham, mushroom, artichokes, & leccina olives. For those who prefer the classics, their Margherita is a must-try, with just the right amount of rich tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella, parmesan, and fragrant basil. And if you’re slightly more adventurous? The Tartufata is topped with mozzarella, mushrooms, taleggio, parmesan & a generous dose of truffle oil.

If you’re in the mood for something other than pizza, Cibus also has a small but solid selection of pasta dishes. Their homemade pappardelle served with duck ragu is a favourite, offering a comforting, earthy flavour that feels like a hug in a bowl. You can also kick off your meal with some tasty starters like arancini, lamb skewers, burrata, or bruschetta, and they’ve got a catch of the day option for those looking to keep things a bit lighter.

You also can’t miss their famous salted doughnuts to start. Picture soft round doughballs, available with marinara sauce and crispy onions, pesto mayo and parmesan, and a combination of all four toppings. A must-try at Cibus.

What really sets Cibus apart is their pizza-making parties. If you’re looking for a fun, hands-on experience, this is it. Whether you’re planning a birthday, a work event, or just a fun night out with friends, Cibus lets you roll up your sleeves and become a pizza pro for the night.

Under the guidance of their friendly chefs, you’ll learn everything from how to stretch the dough to getting creative with toppings. The whole vibe is relaxed and fun, so even if you’re a total beginner, it’s more about having a good time instead of getting everything perfect. And the best part? You get to eat your creation afterward – along with a glass of wine or a cold beer, of course.

It’s a great way to spend an evening, and it’s clear that Cibus loves sharing their passion for pizza and making sure everyone leaves with a full belly and a smile.

For a full Italian experience, think Cibus in Manchester. The warm, friendly atmosphere makes it a great spot for any occasion, whether you’re popping in for a quick bite, meeting up with friends, or getting in on the pizza-making action.
