A spotlight on Dublin's Brookwood

Along the famous historic Baggot Street in Dublin you’ll find the sleek black front door of the coolest steakhouse in town. Brookwood Dublin is a stand-out in the city’s hospitality scene, drawing in diners from near and far to try their renowned signature steaks.

Since opening its doors in 2014, Brookwood has been celebrated for serving the finest Irish beef, sourced exclusively from McLoughlins Butchers. The restaurant’s menu boasts exquisite steaks, fresh Irish oysters, and seafood, complemented by a curated wine list and inventive cocktails – what more could you need?

The ambiance of Brookwood is both sophisticated and inviting. Its interior, a blend of modern chic and classic comfort, offers a welcoming atmosphere perfect for any occasion, whether it’s a weekday lunch, an indulgent dinner, or a traditional Irish Sunday Roast. Intimate yet vibrant vibes fill the restaurant, alongside a mouthwatering aroma, perfect for both locals and tourists to enjoy.

The newly added outdoor terrace along Baggot Street is the perfect place to sit and people-watch all day long. Enjoy a bespoke cocktail and a few sharing bites on a sunny day to soak up the buzzing city centre atmosphere.

Like we said, Brookwood get their beef from McLoughlins Butchers in South Leinster, which means it is from grass and grain fed cattle, ensuring the highest quality and is 100% Irish, free from artificial additives and preservatives. Their chargrilled steaks are the main event of their evening menu – all served with hand-cut chips and either peppercorn, béarnaise, or garlic butter sauce. Take your pick between their rump steak, 21-day dry aged striploin, 28-day dry aged rib eye, fillet, or the tomahawk or porterhouse for two. Add on a side of buttered greens or smoked cabbage and pancetta and you’ve got a near-perfect meal!

For those less steak-inclined, Brookwood still has an impressive menu full of dishes such as wild seabass with ratatouille, chicken breast with champ mash and madeira jus, dressed crab with lemon, chilli, and sourdough, and wild garlic risotto with pea, mint, and basil. And of course, their famous Flaggy Shore Oysters, served freshly shucked with a classic mignonette sauce.

Brookwood also serves up a tremendous Sunday roast, with a roast striploin of Irish beef and all the trimmings: a Yorkshire pudding, roast carrots, smoked cheese and pancetta cabbage, creamy mash, and a boatload of gravy. Paired with one of their Sunday tipples, including a gorgeous Bloody Mary, classic vodka martini, and a sparkling mimosa, you simply won’t find a better Sunday roast in town.

Additionally, Brookwood boasts an impressive wine list, full of international bottles including the likes of New Zealand, Italian, and Australian wines, and magnums for bigger groups. For those visiting Dublin, we highly recommend one of their delectable Irish whiskies too.

For a blend of sophistication and comfort, Brookwood is the place for a romantic date night, celebratory family dinner, or just a simple night out to treat yourself. From an epic Sunday roast to steaks that cut like butter, the food nothing short of excellent to match the exquisite vibes.

You’ll find Brookwood at 141 Baggot Street Lower, Dublin 2.
