A friendly local bar and restaurant located amongst the trees of South Belfast, Robert Stewart’s is a historic spirit grocer founded all the way back in 1620. Paired with a delicious selection of sides, which include local favourites such as Buttery Belfast Champ and onion rings, and you’re onto something special. Vegan customers can avail of the speciality seitan options as well as a range of vegan friendly side options too. On top of great quality food, Top Blade also have an exciting drinks menu with cocktails, draught beer, a selection of wines and spirits to boot.
Located in the heart of the city, City Picnic is one of the best city centre spots for delicious burgers. Their menu offers a huge array of delicious comfort food favourites, including nachos, fries, pizzas, and more, making for the perfect indulgent lunch or relaxed evening meal.

Just two minutes from Belfast City Hall at the heart of the city, you can find the fantastic Stix and Stones Meat Wagon. Offering slow-braised meat, creative cocktails, and good vibes, this is the perfect place to enjoy succulent, perfectly prepared cuts of meat and a relaxed dining experience. All beef is sourced from local Irish farms to ensure the very highest quality produce. It is then aged in-house and prepared in the Stix and Stones Butcher before being braised and slow cooked for at least 24 hours to ensure tender, mouth watering flavours. With various wings, platters, and sides to choose from, as well as steak and fish dishes, you’ll be spoilt for choice.
However, it’s their epic smash burger selection that really sets them apart from the rest. The ‘Plain Jane’ smashed cheeseburger is a firm favourite among those who like to keep it simple, while the adventurous ‘Everything Burger’ with onions, mushrooms, pepper sauce, bacon, cheese, lettuce, onion, tomato, and pickles is rich in flavour and oozing with taste. You can also choose from a tasty selection of chicken burgers, including their Classic, Buffalo, and Katsu burger. Or, if you’re following a plant-based diet, their ‘No Beef Here Mate’ vegan burger should not be missed.
